Christmas Card-Making Kit

Good Morning,

A few people have been asking about the card-making kits I offered earlier this year, and so I have decided to put together a Christmas kit.

Sneak peak ..........

The kit on offer will include:

Clear mount stamp set ‘Open Sleigh’ with a nostalgic style sleigh, a lovely stripey stocking, a beautiful swirl design, a greeting, and a verse
4 x pre-scored card blanks
3 x A4 Real Red card
3 x A4 Gumball Green card
3 x A4 Whisper White card
1 metre of ribbon
Silver brads
Die-cut shapes
Inspiration sheet with four card ideas to get you started

In total you should be able to make at least 10 cards from this set.

Cost of the kit is £20, which includes the stamp set worth £14.95. If I need to post your kit to you I would need to add a further £2, but hopefully you can collect from me or I can deliver you live close by.

If you are interested in ordering this kit please let me know by Tuesday the 6th November either by phone on 07796 682902 or email juliajor@googlemail.com and we can discuss payment. I will obviously need to know numbers so that I can order the stamp sets and hopefully get the kits out to you during the week commencing 12th November 2012.

Have a good week.

Nature Walk - A different Style

Hello, and welcome to a chilly weekend. Looking forward to a workshop this afternoon with Julie and her friends, so filling time with this post. I couldn't have said I had time to fill a few weeks ago when I was still working - retirement is good!

Now on to my card, which is a different style for me.

I challenged myself to make something a little different, and something that would not instantly be recognised as Stampin' Up style but to show how versatile all the products are. All stamps, inks, card, paper and embellishments are from SU, the only non SU items I used were a couple of stencils used around the edge of the background paper.
A closer look ..........

The First Edition background paper has been lightly sponged all over in colours of Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple with the larger sponges now available in the new catalogue. I then stencilled around the edges with two different patterns in Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple. The background for the bird has been lightly sponged with Summer Starfruit, whereas for the greetings I have stamped the fancy template shape in the Everything Eleanor set to give a stronger colour - then stamped the greetings in black and cut or punched the shapes.

Stamp sets used are Nature Walk and Aviary - all stamped in black ink.
Greetings from Bring on the Cake.

Back soon,

Summer Silhouettes

Hello again, today I am showing a couple of cards made with the new Summer Silhouettes stamp set, seems a bit silly to mention summer when the weather is supposed to turn really cold and wintery this weekend.

The stamps in this set are all separate stems and flower heads etc. so it is easy to put together a multi coloured design. My card is similar to an idea in the new Annual Catalogue but I have created a border using the little 'stamen' stamp and used an Edgelet die to scallop the edge. See more detail ........

My second card below is very similar, just a little more stamping, a second impression on the seed heads and a different border.

My card next time will something different for me, back soon.

In Colours 2012 - 2014

Welcome everyone. Showing three cards today using more of the new 'In Colours' and taking inspiration from designs in the new Annual Catalogue.

In the first card above the colours are Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals. The stamp is from Just Believe.

The next card uses a combination of Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit with the butterfly from Creative Elements.

And the final colour scheme below is Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit. The stamps are from Build a Blossom and the petals cut with the Blossom Petals Builder punch. For this card I used the Naturals White card stock which has a slightly speckled finish.

Hope you like these cards, thank you for visiting.

The Open Sea - New In Colours

A popular set from the previous mini catalogue and now available in the new annual catalogue - The Open Sea.

Card stock and ink colours for this card are the new In Colours of Gumball Green, Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit. I used the Modern Label punch to make a 'tab' for the top of the tag and secured this with a glimmer brad.

Christmas Present

Christmas all wrapped up! With today's two cards I wrapped Stampin' Up papers around a piece of card cut into the shape of a present. Then added ribbon, a bow and a tag. Very simple cards to make.

The base cards have been embossed with dots, and the tag is from the 'Tags til Christmas' set stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Card colours used are Old Olive and Whisper White for the first card, and Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler for the second.

Have a good weekend.

Watercolour Winter

At last, time to show a recent quick and simple card. No excuses really as I have now RETIRED from work.

For this card I have stamped the the fir branch from the new Watercolour Winter set directly onto very vanilla card and then sprayed with the new Smooch Spritz in gold. I stamped the poinsettia flower on a spare piece of card, cut it out, then daubed and curled the edges before adding to the card. This was then mounted onto an A6 card blank (tent style). Rounding the corner or your image and card adds interest and draws your eye to the design in the corner.

The sentiment 'Noel' is from a new stamp set called Greetings of the Season, with four very useful sentiments for Christmas.

Colours used:
Ink - new Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive
Card - new Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla
